The first couple of weeks of Theology 101 with Professor Leach was very entertaining. He gave his students and I an opportunity to expand our minds and help with future research. Each class we learned something new, which had us thinking every time. Throughout the course, Professor Leach made us question reality, asking subjects like, “why did we come here?”, “how did we come here”, and “is there a meaning for us here?” Even though I am a Biology major and this class has nothing to do with my major, I was very excited to hear that I had to take this class as a prerequisite to graduate for,Concordia College. As a child, I always enjoyed researching many theories and the many possible ways our world universe. I knew Professor Leach was the type …show more content…
I have never been in a class that teaches material like what we have discussed. We have talked about many things like the creation of our universe, the afterlife, dinosaurs, and more. During Professor Leach’s lecture on the creation of our “universe,” many points explained were mind-blowing. From many experiments and research made by scientist throughout many decades, Professor Leach agreed that our whole universe started from a “big bang” from a very tiny atom. My brain was all over the place after taking in all the information because everything added up perfectly. Another topic was the theory of “Pangaea.” The theory of Pangaea is that million of years ago all our continents were together into one big land mass. Some scientists say that all the meteors that hit earth throughout millions of years might have caused the drifting away. I believe in this theory because when you look at a world map, all continents could be put together like a big puzzle. Lastly, my favorite lecture was the theory of Adam and Eve. Professor leach emphasized the Book of Genesis states that the theory of Adam and Eve were the first two humans on earth and they are the original creators of all humans on earth. I did not know what to think about this theory because I find it very difficult to believe all humans are related in some sort of way, but there has to be a place that started our species. After every session in class, Professor …show more content…
I want to touch more on the topic of the “afterlife.” Where do we go after we die? Is there really a heaven and hell? Do we go to purgatory before that heaven or hell? Is there really such thing as the “leviathan” monsters in the afterlife? I would also like to talk about more theories of “God.” Who is the real “God”? If there is a God, why do bad things happen to good people? Is God good or bad? If he is good, why are their problems on this earth? What is taking “God” so long to help those in need of his help? I have many other questions that do not relate to God, Spirituality, and Religion but I think the class would enjoy talking about it. Is the “Illuminati” conspiracy real? Is the government really running the Illuminati and controlling the way we live?, Is there really a controlled climate ran by the wealthiest people on earth? If there are no aliens, why does the government spend millions of dollars into Area 51 every year? What is “New World Order?” I have many questions that run through my head when it comes to this class and what we talk about. I am really looking forward to the rest of the semester and hope my questions will be
