When I was five years old my ambitions were less consistent as well as less complex. I often portrayed myself as a scientist that would conduct research and solve world issues. At this stage in my life these issues had no specific scope and changed periodically. I was first interested in mathematics and problem solving which are important core aspects of engineering. I had a vague idea at the time of possible careers such as a biomedical engineer or a physicist, but did not truly understand what these careers entailed until later on.
