The concept of Motivation has many different factors that can define it. Because there are different factors, Motivation can mean a lot of different things. In this paper, I have conducted 5 interviews with people of different backgrounds and ages. No names will be used at their request but they all come from close friends or family. For me, some days I just don’t want to get up out of bed. It feels like I just don’t have a desire to do anything. The desire pushes me to want to do something because if I don’t want to do it then it won’t get done.
Do you think that you background plays a role in what you do? Of course, back when I was an addict my only desire was to get high. I didn’t care about anything else and I would do whatever I could to get the next fix. Now that I am recovering, that addiction is still there but it gets replaced with other things. Crimes of passion are just our cognition that has not fully comprehended the situation. We can turn to a higher power for motivation because we are trying to live a life that God commands. Learned factors come from our experiences and they can motivate us in different ways. When you are recovering from drug addiction, you learn about the pain you have caused others and learn how you can manage your addiction. When you fall on tough times and recover, you learn how to better deal with that situation in the future and move through it. Also, in the last interview, we see how social pressure can be a motivator because it causes us to
