Thomas Hobbes was a philosopher. Who asked questions on why humans could thrive in harmony while avoiding the perils and fears if societal conflict. While John Locke philosophy lies at the foundation of modern philosophical empiricism and political liberalism. They both are great philosophers, but their time period and backgrounds are different from each other. Their essential qualities is how you may define a person, can Thomas Hobbes and John Locke qualities be intertwined with each other.
Hobbes was born during the period of 1588 and passed away in 1679. Thomas Hobbes was born in Westport, England. He lived in the lower class in which his father was involved in a scandal and disappeared when him and siblings was younger. Hobbes was sent to live with his uncle after that happened. His uncle care deeply for him, which is why he provide for Thomas Hobbes education. He knew at a young age that he will be great in everything he do because he was smart. Thomas Hobbes was known for his work with William Cavendish as his tutor. He was the son of Lord Cavendish of Hardwick. By knowing the Cavendish family he was able to work and meet with the king, members of the parliament, and other wealthy individuals. During this time the government was in the Parliament stages.

Locke was born in Wrington, England. Locke’s life was brought up between the middle and elite class. His father was a lawyer and also part of the Military who served as a captain during the English civil war. John Locke family lived their lives through the Church mainly the Christ church, where he later went to school. He was taught and lived through the Puritan government in which his family was a part of. With his family connections he was able to have allegiance and connections with the English government, in which he received great
