Samuel Adams lived from 1722 to 1803, spending numerous years of his life playing a great role in the Revolution, starting in the year 1765. In the years 1770 to 1773, Adams and the Committees of Correspondence notably contributed to the Revolution by protesting the Stamp Act, thus leading to them opposing several laws passed by the British. Samuel Adams is a great example of a patriot who contributed greatly to the American Revolution.

Jefferson attended college at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He married Martha Wayles Skelton in Monticello in 1772. Jefferson had six sisters and one surviving brother.
The French Revolution was in 1789 and the French asked for America’s help. Their revolution led to war with Great Britain, who wanted to stop them from killing the French royalty. The resulting war with Great Britain and the choice whether or not to help the French played a part in creating political parties in the United States. Jefferson's view on the French revolution was that they should help the French, because when they revolted, the French helped them. This helped form the political party, Democrat-Republican.
