Jane Randolph Jefferson gave birth to her son Thomas Jefferson on the 13th of April in 1743 in Alberamale county Virginia. Thomas Jefferson’s father was Peter Jefferson. Jefferson attended college at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He married Martha Wayles Skelton in Monticello in 1772. Jefferson had six sisters and one surviving brother. Jefferson was the third child of his family. Jefferson had six offspring. Unfortunately only two girls reached adulthood, Martha and Mary. In the year of 1775, he became the minister of France instead of Benjamin Franklin.
