Jefferson’s opinion on luck is spot on. Luck is rarely just chance studying for a test and doing good on it is not luck even though it may seem like you just got lucky on the test you were actually prepared for it. Luck is nothing more than somebody who has prepared and trained and then rising to the opportunity when the time arises. For example, if person walks out in front of a car and then another person jumps in the way grabs them and pulls them to safety, was it just lucky that the hero was able to do that? No many people would have frozen or been too afraid to jump in front of the car and save the potential victim in this hypothetical situation.
