Thomas Keller’s Appetite for Abundance Not just a chef but an owner of many restaurants and an author of multiple books. This dedicated businessman is well known for his restaurant called French Laundry. Thomas Keller is a 60 year old chef who had a vision and made it happen. He has opened eight restaurants and two bakeries and has become a successful individual. Keller has three michelin star ratings for French Laundry and Per Se. Thomas had no culinary teachings but was trained under a French chef. He started out working in the restaurant kitchen that his mother was managing to hold the house down since his marine drill sergeant father walked out on them. In 1983, Keller moved to France and worked in multiple michelin-starred houses including Guy Savoy and Taillevent. Three years later, in 1986, he opened his first restaurant,

He has high personal standards and is always striving to do better than he did the day before. He has done a great job in hiring a staff who has the same or similar values. Thomas believes that a great meal always has to do with the emotional experience when dining. He has many interests and visions and this has lead to the speculation that he is a driven man who will continue to go far. Because of his personality, his self motivation, high standards, and great skills, he has been able to accomplish great things. He has a great support group through his family, staff, and even his fans. Thomas Keller began just as kitchen staff to being the beneficiary of two 3-star michelin ratings and ten awards. He has accomplished many things and he is known to have a caring personality and reviews prove that he is a cordial guy to come
