The Maze Runner is a series that consists of 3 sequels and in this essay I will be mainly focusing on the first one. In the Maze Runner it starts off as a kid named Thomas being sent up through a tunnel into an isolated zone with 12 other kids. The area they are in has walls all around, and also a maze that leads to the exit if you can find it. If you go into the maze at night, you will most likely die from monsters aka grievers. The movies official rating is PG-13. I don't think the rating is perfect, but I don't think it needs to be rated R. I think if there was a rating between PG-13 and R, this movie would fit in there perfectly. I say this because I think the monsters in the movie are scary. Also there is a lot of violence. There is a webcam video of a girl shooting herself, there is a character that is shot at the end of the movie, and there is some bad language. In the movie, there are three different races that come to mind. Asian, African American, and Caucasian. There is also one female out of the 12 different guys in the group. When I view the movie, there is nothing I would get made about, or nothing that stands out to me. Something that may appeal to some audiences is how strong of a character they make the one female in the movie. They show that a girl is just as tough and or smart as any guy is. And her character only gets stronger and more confident throughout the three series. It has been a while since I saw the movie, but I’m pretty sure they decided to have the African American character killed by a griever. I hope not too many people may have gotten mad at this, because I really doubt the producers of this movie meant anything by it. Unfortunately there might be some people that could have gotten mad at this, but it's completely random and the monsters cant care about skin
