Three things that the narrator and Jerry have in common. One thing that they have in common is that they are both determined on there goals. When the narrator wanted to talk to the girl and when Jerry wanted to go through the tunnel. Another thing they have in common is they are very smart. They are smart because the narrator finds out what moods she is in to talk to her and tells her to take the canoe so she doesn't know that he is to young to drive and Jerry is smart because he learns that he has to get glasses to see nod to learn how to hold his breath long so he can stay down there and get through the tunnel. The final thing that they have in common is that they are brave. The narrator is brave because he goes to talk to the girl
