Throughout my life I have read several books over the years. Fiction books specifically have helped me understand issues like racism and poverty. In this written response, I would like to focus on the book “To Kill a Mockingbird”. This realistic Fiction novel is a perfect example of a book that has helped promote the severity of such issues like racism.
In the novel “To kill a Mockingbird”, the author bases the book back during the Great Depression when racism was still a very relevant, impacting thing to live amongst.
