As Laura Bugsbee’s feet pounded against the tarmac, she spotted the bee in her peripheral vision flying madly after her. “Get away from me!” she exclaimed as she ran wildly to escape the bee. She saw her house in the distance, and with a cry of relief, increased her speed. When she got to her buttercup yellow front door, she sprinted inside and shut the door with no time to spare. As soon as the door closed, she heard a thunk against the door. The bee had flown straight into the door. “Hmm… maybe the bee died when it hit the door,” she thought. She inched toward the door and cautiously opened it. The fuzzy fiend was lying on the ground with its feet lifted toward the sky. “Oh my,” Laura breathed, “it’s finally gone.” She sat down on the ground and put her hands over her eyes. “Wait… that smells an awful lot like my lavender flower shampoo,” Laura thought. She jolted awake and found herself covered in all of the floral shampoos, conditioners, soaps, and lotions they had(which was a lot since both her parents worked at a soap shop). She cried out in horror and leaped out of bed. A couple of seconds later, both her sister and her mother, Lauren, rushed into her room. Laura could tell that Lindy was trying to keep in a laugh. Lauren stared at her with a look of disgust and concern. “Honey, what happened?” she asked. Laura turned her burning gaze to Lindy and said, “She did it. Mom, you have to believe me!” Lindy raised her eyebrows and said, “Laura, I have no idea what you are talking about.” Lauren gazed at both of them and sighed. “Girls, I’m sure it was just an accident,” she said. Laura exclaimed in surprise and stomped to the bathroom to rinse it all off. When she was done, she crawled into her bedsheets and went to sleep dreaming about the bee, Bobby Bee
