Descending the stairs, I became instantly cognizant of how quiet my house was. The quiet never bothered me before -- being alone had never bothered me. Away from them, I was beginning to feel lonely and detached. I realized I was changing - something that had never troubled me before - seemed like it was becoming an issue for me. It all came down to the fact that I could have this life alone by myself, or the life with them that was waiting for me, which was mine for the taking. It was my decision to choose which life I wanted. I looked at the clock, gauged my time, grabbed my purse and exited my house. I didn’t laugh. I just sat there looking at her as tears welled up in my eyes. She looked at me, and I watched the smile drain from her face. “You’re serious Annalisa?
