Literature and life Is life our own book? I enjoy to read at night for many people it's different I also like to read in my room. Is life our own book? I believe this is accurate because characters in a book have conflicts and us humans also have conflicts same for our characterization and our narration. Literature and life are connected by your own actions, problems, and your own perspective. Cochrane indirectly characterizes Fitz in Fits A Father a Son and a Gun as a young boy who just wants attention by not just a father figure but by his actual father. Fitz grew up without his father and wants to know who he is personally and why he hasn't been around in his life. You can tell that Fitz is desperate to know his father because Fitz stalks his father and learns pretty much the most obvious things. Fitz wants to know his father so bad he buys a gun and confronts his dad at gunpoint to spend the day with him. Us humans can also be indirectly characterized.
