Almost everyone has heard of the Scouts. Even if hardly anyone believes it, the scout movement can bring a lot of advantages to a person’s short-term life, and even to his/her long-term life. Also, it involves kids from all ages: from 4 years old, to 21 years old. Therefore, being a scout is the best extracurricular activity that anyone could do because they do a lot of physical activity, learn a lot of helpful values, and make a lot of friends from different places and cultures. In the scouts, kids from all ages do physical activity. This is something that, especially nowadays, is more important than ever. One of the most important values that society needs is respect. Respect is a fundamental value that is taught in the scouts by doing certain games, listening to talks, and observing role models, the adults who oversee the kids. The next value is also very important: honesty. Honesty is lacking everywhere. Fortunately, this value is also learnt in the scout movement. The scout movement has several laws, and the most important one is that a scout is trustworthy. This teaches scouts to be honest with everybody. Another value for which the scout movement is famous is generosity. Scouts all over the world create, prepare and execute several programs, charities, and visits to places in need. Scouts also learn important skills. Some of them are teamwork and competitivity. These are very important skills for all the young people to prepare them to compete for jobs, for example, and that they need to be the best to be considered. Also, they need to know how to interact the proper way, or how to express themselves with their future job
