To Kill a Mockingbird is coming of age story set in the 1930’s. The story is told through the eyes of a young girl named Scout. It covers controversial topics such as racism and social inequality through a trial held accusing a black man of raping and beating a white young woman, even though the accusation was quite untrue. After reading the book and watching the movie, I discovered many differences as well as similarities. Both the movie and the book coincide well and i found many of my visions from the book appearing correctly in the movie, there are no blatant disparities but throughout both I found small changes.
