1. “‘[It’s] a sin to kill a mockingbird.’” It relates to the novel because it is a sin to kill a mockingbird. Boo radley and tom robinson are the mockingbirds it reflects to the novel because mockingbirds don't bother you or do anything to hurt you. Tom robinson never hurt anyone and neither did boo radley. Atticus is basically saying that it is a sin to kill boo radley or kill tom robinson.

What/who is a mockingbird in the novel? How? To kill a mockingbird is a sin, but they don’t do anything for them you to kill them. They don’t bother you and they provide beautiful music. There are two characters who could be the mockingbird. One is Tom Robinson who obviously didn’t do anything and still went to prison for trying to help a little girl. The other Boo Radley would be like (“sort of like shootin’ a mockingbird”) like Tom Robinson has never done anything to anyone but have kindness to everyone especially the Finch Family, The children know that he needs help to be protected.
