Thesis statement
The book, To Kill a Mockingbird was written in the 1930’s during the great depression. White people where racist to black people and at the time it wasn’t wrong thing have changed know people are mostly treated equally. The central idea of the book, To Kill a Mockingbird is going against racism and standing against racism when everyone else is for racism. Also the culture back then was different.

1. The author wrote the book from her point of view. She wrote this book when she was older and she wrote it about a younger girl. The people who live in Maycomb mostly all of them are racist and some just don’t show it. Atticus as a lawyer he tried to prove Tom Robinson innocent
