These beliefs were implemented in 1776, through the Declaration of Independence. This document was ratified by recalcitrant Americans who would not tolerate subjection to tyrannical rule. The American people hoped this document would seal their fate in relation to Europe, and prove to Europe, and frankly the entire world, that they were a separate, sufficient nation. But as the years unfolded, the realization that America would continue to be considered an inferior nation arose.

Equality is not just fair treatment. In America, it also means that all American citizens get the the same rights, that should be protected by the government, promised by the founding fathers. Definitely the most controversial one was voting. Voting helped make the country a Democracy, allowing the most common of people to be represented in the national government. However, women did not get this basic right for years after 1776.
Written by Thomas Paine in 1791, the book “Rights of Man” soughts to describe the characteristics of America. Although he did include some accurate descriptions of America in his writing, considering the time the book was written and the fact that he was a revolutionary and a supporter of American independence, there are some descriptions that do not concur with the current-day America and some descriptions that are biased as well. Paine asserts that America is made up “of people from different nations, accustomed to different forms and habit of government, speaking different languages, and more different in their modes of worship,” and this assertion still holds true till this day. America fundamentally was, and still is, a melting pot of different people and culture (Paine).
Liberty has the definition of the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views. This means the right to be free in a country. America had trouble with finding how liberty can be a part of the country. The fight for liberty was difficult to obtain because America had the break from Great Britain, needed to build a country from scratch, and come together as a country. America was not always a free country.
Introduction: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” This is one of the most well-known quotes in the Declaration of Independence. It states that all men are created equal, that they are entitled to their rights. This is what America is supposed to represent, this is why so many people all over the world flock here, for freedom and equality. In some ways this statement has been represented well, but it definitely has not been fully manifested they way it appears.

Highlights the common beliefs of Americans, and what they stand to create America into. From the beginning of the American Revolution to modern days. Wars have been fought, reforms have been made, and the tenacity of the past Americans have given us the liberty that they strove for.
America, the land of freedom, opportunity, and heroism. This is America, an unlikely country born of bravery and courage. It’s beginnings were humble and small, but like all valuable things that were meant to be, it grew, beginning with a few struggling colonies in the New World under the rule of Great Britain, to a thriving nation. After years of sickness, hunger, and overall hardship, the colonists stayed strong, and pressed forward.
America’s society has some distinctive characteristics that separate it from that of the rest of the world. Although diverse, the American society is unified in the number of traits that they all share. All American citizens value their individuality as well as their equality. Americans are not afraid to voice their opinions or to oppose something that they disagree with. If there is something that is not right, Americans will not hesitate to work towards positive change of that cause.
From the founding of a new nation, one phrase is heard throughout its history: The five words that, “All men are created equal” (Declaration of Independence). Throughout the nation’s time, whether it be the Gettysburg Address (Lincoln) or the Letter from a Birmingham Jail (King). The nation itself believed in the fact that every person of the human race is equal to each other, no matter their skin color, race, gender, or anything else of that matter as it is the most basis of most, if not all, human rights. All men and women of all backgrounds are able to live in and contribute to the great nation without fear of having their basic rights taken away. The United States didn’t invent freedom. The Greeks and Romans had their democratic principles and the British had their Magna Carta before we were a nation. We are not even considered the “most free” nation in the world. In fact, we were ranked 20th in the world earlier this year by the Cato Institute in the “human freedom index.”

Being american is a great opertunity its means having freedom. We're know as inventors since we have created was human liberty. We are a nation that is strong and always have faced problems/troubles head on. America was built on courage and faith. Every single state has a national park except one.
Equality in America America and its people have worked hard to create a home in which everyone is treated, and feels equal. We’ve fought wars, held protests, and lost many lives in situations where we were fighting for fair treatment. After all of these sacrifices, it's safe to say that Americans have the right to love, and cherish the equality that their home presents them with, but to an extent. Equality in society, government, and basic human interactions should always be kept, and held with great importance. However, we also need to keep in mind that we are not the same people.
