The American Dream is a highly sought after goal which consists of living a carefree life achieved through diligent hard earned work, passion, resolve and money. Whether if people chase the American dream or even if they don’t, people will face obstacles, complications and hardships, of which could be deciding on what to pursue in order to achieve what you want, having a chance or being given the opportunity at obtaining it, receiving discrimination for wanting to acquire it or being told that it’s not possible and especially the lack of financial funds for the achievement in mind. “The American Dream is not attainable in contemporary society due to racism, socioeconomic inequality, and unacceptance of various opinions” (Choi). The dream is attainable, but it wouldn’t be easy. There may be backlash and other challenges and complications such as available opportunities and having the finances to pursue what it is people want to do. While it isn’t easy, if you want it enough and try your best to pursue it you can eventually achieve it. The American dream is attainable. Racism can make it difficult to gain but if you want it enough you will push through. Inequality will be a stone in your path but you will break through, and if your opinion is not heard the first time, say it again until you’re heard. If you give up not only will you be throwing away chances, but you will regret not trying to the best of your ability. If you remain in doubt then work harder to secure your future, the future you put so much effort into
