In 1945, The United States dropped the first atomic bomb in Hiroshima, Japan. Three days later, the second bomb was dropped on Nagasaki. This decision was very controversial, but for good reason. The war against Japan was very harsh and brutal, and Japan was not backing down. The dropping of the atomic bomb ended the Second World War. The use of the atomic bomb by the United States in 1945 was necessary to end the war quickly as well as save more lives than it took. My reasoning for the atomic bomb use being justified is it ended the war quick, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, and it caused many deaths but saved more people in the long run.
