Often when an average parent or upstanding individual turns on the television and sees a young black man rapping about the hood they are murdered. On impulse the channel is changed without considering what message that individual is endeavouring to deliver. Right when listening to rapper Too Short and his song "Gettin it", you hear a lot about how hard it is to be a black individual. The tune is about getting away from the hood and making a fair life for yourself. The lion's share of society simply expect that these energetic but black rappers have no brains and no sense of purpose for life. Too Short's song "Gettin it" also contains a secondary story. Too Short's triumphs describes the dream that youngsters have encountering youth in “the hood”. Those youngsters long to get rich at a young age and living like a bona fide "homeboy" for all the moments they have left in life. The central key to accomplishment is the ability to make a move and go out and get what you need out of this life. Too Short talk about's this when he says, "you got the chance to land a conventional position and set yourself a couple of targets, think positive, and never quit hustling". The world does not hold you for nothing, you must do right, or you will slide down to mediocrity or below. Successful people are models that leave bits of information to take after. Too Short watched men of their word rise out of the hood and proceed to live to a great degree prosperous lives. He perceived how they did it and he picked up from them.
