Mood: In my book trailer, mood is portrayed through the music and photos. You have moments where the photos are light and happy like when it says Mare is special and moments when it’s darker like when it shows the Stilts. It shows the mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the last page. The music shows mystery in the way the flute comes and goes. It shows up sometimes when you expect it and sometimes when you don’t. Sort of like Mare’s powers at the beginning of the book. She doesn’t have full control over it until the middle. Two Themes: One theme from the book that I bring out in my trailer is hope. Mare stays hopeful through the entire book. You see sad moments like the Stilts and happy moments like when she finds her power. You also see hope at the end of the book when she once again finds Shade. She was hopeful because after she found out Shade hadn’t died she had hope. She saw not everything was as it seemed, it seemed as though her brother had been killed for desertion when he hadn’t been killed at all. Another theme from the book that is brought out in my trailer isn’t as hidden. Anyone can betray anyone. Something that Mare learns all too well. She learns betrayal at the end of the book when she finds out that Maven hadn’t been on her side. Who will Marre trust? She had in a sense been lied to by Shade when she thought he was dead, will she trust him? He is her brother after all. …show more content…

Another symbol is the houses. They show division. The people are already divided by the color of their blood, then the Silvers are divided by their powers. It shows you shouldn’t be divided by the way something is about
