She’s more of the brains behind the plan to kill King Duncan rather than the actual murderer. In Act 1: Scene 5, she receives the letter from Macbeth and she says “Yet I do fear thy nature; It is too full o’ th’ milk of human kindness”, she knows that he will end up not wanting to go through with their plan. Although he could have said no she still pushed him to proceed. Maybe if Macbeth would’ve put his foot down instead of cowering down and doing whatever Lady Macbeth said, he wouldn’t be in the predicament of having to kill his friends that he is in now. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are much like Adam and Eve.
She is the one who encourages Macbeth to kill King Duncan. The reason she does this is because she wants more power and wants to become queen. Lady Macbeth encourages him by saying things like “…look like the innocent flower but be the serpent under it“(act 1 scene 5 lines 72-73). By saying this, she is encouraging him to kill people in order to become king. Macbeth has some fears about killing the king but Lady Macbeth questions his manliness by telling him that if he was a real man, he would kill him.
Like men, she has the trait to be gruesome and diabolical in nature. She has determined for herself the course to be pursued and nothing can hinder her. Macbeth is one of Shakesphere’s most well known plays, and for a good reason. It is also one of the most relatable plays due to its many displayed universal character traits.. Macbeth’s main character, Macbeth, shows off a wide range of complex character traits. These traits range from being very relatable to not being relatable at all. However, there are three of Macbeth’s character traits that almost everyone should be able to relate to.
Even though she is a woman she tells Macbeth to forget about his crime. She controls Macbeth and makes him do what she tells him to do. According to Sadowski Lady Macbeth, “as a woman [she is] more manly in character than her husband” (Sadowski 9). Lady Macbeth does all the planning which is suppose to be done by Macbeth. She does not let her husband make the decisions, she herself makes the decisions.
Lady Macbeth is a heartless hellion that will not let anything stand in the way of her husband getting the title of king even at the cost of many lives. I feel like without Lady Macbeth present, Macbeth would have been a happy man. The women is constantly manipulating her husband for what can be both admirable and displaceable. She wanted him to live to his fullest potential as king but she will disregard anyone else if they stand in the way. Lady Macbeth knows that Macbeth wont be able to kill King Duncan because she is in “fear [of] thy nature; It is too full o’ th’ milk oh human kindness” (1, 5, 15-16) meaning that she fears that Macbeth’s nature is too kind he wont kill the king.
There are many points throughout the book where Lady Macbeth proves to be an evil person with an evil agenda. She plays a big part in the story's plot, negatively impacting it. She exhibits a very extreme way of showing her thoughts and feelings throughout the story, typically in a disturbing way. Lady Macbeth is not an admirable character for several reasons.

Next, Lady Macbeth crafts her argument by showing Duncan’s death will be the best option to become king and questions Macbeth’s manliness. For example, “Come, thick night, and pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell, that my keen knife see not the wound it makes, nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark, to cry ‘Hold, Hold!’” (I.vi. 52-54). Here, Lady Macbeth is ridiculing Macbeth by saying that a women would do a devilous crime easily, but a man is showing signs of weakness. Lady Macbeth wants him to take the best opportunity to assassinate Duncan, so that Macbeth can take the crown instead of letting it go to one of Duncan’s son.
She is the person who urges Macbeth to murder King Duncan. The reason she does this is on the grounds that she needs more power and needs to wind up ruler. Woman Macbeth supports him by saying things like "… resemble the blameless bloom yet be the serpent under it"(act 1 scene 5 lines 72-73). By saying this, she is urging him to murder individuals so as to end up lord. Macbeth has a few fears about murdering the lord yet Lady Macbeth addresses his masculinity by letting him know that on the off chance that he was a genuine man, he would slaughter him.
She is a loyal though misguided wife, not without tenderness and not without conscience. Lady Macbeth’s willingness to sacrifice her femininity exposes her loyalty towards Macbeth. After reading the letter regarding the witch’s prophecies, she decides she must do whatever it take to make Macbeth King: Come you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top-full of direst cruelty.
When reviewing the character Macbeth, many components of his personality can be shared. At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is admired by all and is looked up to as a hero. He and his wife then put all their faith into what the witches prophesied; this causing their downfall. Shortly afterwards, Macbeth takes for granted his new title and fame. Macbeth's morals were clean of sin, until Lady Macbeth poisoned them with the thought of murder.
Those who are weak often manipulate others to do the things they cannot. Shakespeare's Tragedy of Macbeth describes two characters’ desire for power, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Throughout the play, Lady Macbeth displays many facets to her personality. She is such a diverse and complicated character that it is hard to know if she is truly evil or weak. However, no matter how strong and evil Lady Macbeth appears to be to others, her weakness is clearly apparent when she is alone.
As soon as she heard Macbeth’s prophecy, she was willing to do anything to get him into the position of king. She was even willing to aid in the murder of innocent people who stood in the way of Macbeth’s ascension to the crown like, King Duncan. Her greed led to Macbeth’s downfall. When Macbeth stated that he was questioning his intentions to kill the king, she pushed him and assisted in the plotting. “We will proceed no further in this business. /
