When I was 13, my dad took me and my friend jareth to Knotts Berry Farm it was very fun until we first entered the park a scary man with a werewolf costume jumped off of a ledge and scared me, I decided i was going to run away and hide behind the tree. I thought I was in the clear but the werewolf kept on chasing me and he came very close. He started to growl at me very loud and furiously. My dad came to my rescue and told him to please go away, i started to cry because i was so scared. My friend jareth felt bad so he hugged me and later on bought me a snoopy stuffed animal. For instance, In the beginning of the story the family was enjoying a nice evening until a suspicious stranger came and interrupted the peace. It made the environment uncomfortable for the family and made the family's evening grievous. In contrast, “The garage! What does he want in there? The mother said uneasily. “Maybe you'd better go out there with him”(1). This is unnatural because as the family is having a nice evening the stranger comes and disturbs the family. First the picture just looks like a normal but as the reader really looks at the photo it becomes sinister. It is effective because, as you see the pictures you see your nightmare come to life. For instance, the pictures in black and white on the pages make a reader think about what they would do in that pictures situation. This proves that the story uses transformation to scare the reader by using different colors and or masks and positions. On the contrary, adding color would make it seem less scary and be easier to bear with. The color makes it easier for the reader to feel more relaxed and at ease because of the fluorescent colors being used in the picture. On the contrary , the color may catch someone's eye.
