Auntie Oima’s death affected the Iwasaki okiya as a whole because she was the head of the Iwasaki okiya and she impacted everything and everybody that went through there. Auntie Oima was kind of like a grandmother to all the girls that lived in the Iwasaki okiya. I think Auntie Oima’s death impacted Mineko the most because she was really close to her and Mineko really valued the relationship they had. I think her death was a reality check for Mineko because she now realized that she is the atotari and she should take her career as a geisha very seriously.
First, the main part of why all this happened was because of slavery. People and their states fought to prohibit slavery in the territories that had not yet become states. Another big reason they started the war was because of the election of Abraham Lincoln. According to Document 7, the Southern states believed that Lincoln was a very weak man, so the elected Jefferson Davis for their president. This enraged Lincoln so much that he declared war.

The goal of the 415 BCE play, The Trojan Women was to discourage war in the ancient Mediterranean world. The play showed the hardships that came with war in an attempt to end violent conflict. The same can be said about the 1971 film. The cinematized version of the play was released amidst the peak of Vietnam protest and aimed to show, yet again, the consequences of war. The film is one of the more interesting war films because its main characters are not the soldiers, but the people affected by the loss that war brought them.
One inspiration for the Greek War was Rousseau’s social contract philosophy. One example of this is during the ruling of the Ottoman Empire, Greece thought it would be only fair that they could have a say in the laws and government. This was a fair point to bring up, especially because they were the ones who would have to follow these rules. This aligned with Rousseau’s idea of the social contract that originated in 1762. Another piece of evidence is that once freed from Ottoman Empire rule, they started the social contract.
