Trolls don’t live underground and cause earthquakes, do they? The answer is no. Today, I write this letter to explain a big idea that I believe you have had a misconception of. Many natural disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanoes are all tied to a theory known as the plate tectonics. In the early 1900s, a famous German scientist known as Alfred Wegner came up with a theory known as The Continental Drift. This theory stated that there was once a single landmass known as Pangea. Wegner said that these continents drifted away and formed what is now present on the world map. In following years, Scientists who agreed with Wegner tweaked his theory and came up with a more accurate one called Plate Tectonics.
