Truthfulness In Elie Wiesel's Night

The Holocaust and its memories is a touchy subject and can sometimes be accused of not having its full validity and truthfulness. Some accuse Elie Wiesel’s Night to be made up or exaggerated, while others believe everything that is said in the book really happened. In my opinion, Elie Wiesel’s Night was not a total lie or fabrication, but I do believe some of it was exaggerated out of fear, hallucination, paranoia, etc. After discussing all of his experiences and struggles throughout the Holocaust, there are some aspects of the story that can be questionable to the reader. The primary issues for reality or truthfulness in this story are: those SS is known to not have been active inside the camp; the prisoner-trustees, normally communists, took consideration about providing for those prisoners their requests. Thus those SS wouldn’t be in front of the block giving commands, “An officer” might best make a SS officer. Yet they never originated inside the barracks. Inmates, regardless of upon what amount of “in charge” they could be, were not called officers. With the goal who might have been this complex “officer” who might have been inside the barracks? Not SS whatsoever; just and only those fiction Furthermore an additional endeavor on relegate brutalities of the ss. Elie Wiesel’s Night still has historical value and validity because some of the stuff and events discussed about the Holocaust are true and is important information we should know. It’s still a very informing book and makes you realize how much the people went through to survive and how they were treated just because of their
