There are quite of few Twilight fans out in the world, but I'm not one of them. Twilight basically preaches to girls that they need a boyfriend, which is not a good message for young girls. The only reason it is popular is because the main character is so vague and plain that the reader can picture herself as Bella. Every teen girl wants a hot vampire and werewolf to fight for her love. There are a lot of causes of why I dislike Twilight. My intense dislike for the Twilight Saga is caused by three basic factors: the childlike persona of supernatural creatures, false fantasy of competing love, and no character development. I detest Twilight for the cause of that the writer gives the supernatural creatures a childlike persona. The book describes …show more content…

In the book the vampire's appearance is like a baby's compared to what they are depicted in myths. With sparkly skin and nice golden eyes the vampires in the book are not chased out of town with pitchforks but lusted after by almost everyone in town. Sparkly skin is like the jazz hands of the vampire world. The writer took a part of the myth that gave vampires an Achilles heel and turned it into a dangerous addiction to body glitter. Not only do their appearance give them a childlike persona, so does their human qualities. In the book vampires are fangless and humane. The writer ruined the myths behind the supernatural creatures she used and that's one reason why I dislike the Twilight …show more content…

Bella starts basic and boring and at the end she ends up basic, boring, and a mother. Bella is portrayed as a plain Jane who is unoriginal; she spends most of her time oozing about how beautiful Edward is and he just acts like a depressed boyfriend. Bella has no feelings towards other people; for example, Bella ignores everyone on the first day of school when they were just being friendly. Likewise, Bella also says she is a bad liar but she lies all the time to her father, friends, and mom. Edward also has no character development; Edward is an obsessive creep throughout out the books. Furthermore, Edward never develops a personality of his own; instead he becomes what every high school girl wishes her perfect man would be. Edward watches Bella when she sleeps and he also follows her around. Not only is he a creep, but he is also he is also a control freak and a hypocrite. Edward tries to control where Bella goes; also, he doesn't want Bella to hang out with the wolves because they are dangerous even though he is just as dangerous. Since there is no character development, I detest twilight even
