The evidence clearly indicates that this theropod had lung and respiratory mechanics similar to that of a crocodile—not a bird. There was evidence of a diaphragm-like muscle separating the lung from the liver, much as you see in modern crocodiles. These observations suggest that this theropod was similar to an ectothermic reptile, not an endothermic bird. Did feathered dinosaurs exist?
The entire order of carnivores is defined by four teeth called carnassials. If you have those kind of teeth, you are a member of the carnivore family, if you don’t have those teeth, you can’t be in that family. The earliest teeth in the fossil record come from Conodonts. There is evidence that teeth were the first hard part ever. Niels next topic is about heads.
It’s is true that many dinosaur fossils have been found at high altitudes , but 100 million years ago even a 10,000 foot high mountain peak might have been relatively balmy. If the climate was hot throughout the year that would have favoured cold blooded dinosaur as they relied on outside temperatures to maintain their body
The discovery of this mammal was proof that mammals had lived alongside the dinosaurs. It gave scientist a small glimpse into ancient mammal species. Chapter 6– Questions
Once they are in the past and see the Tyrannosaurus Ray Bradbury uses imagery to explain what the dinosaur looks like. The Tyrannosaurus was described as, “...thirty feet above half the trees, a great evil of god, folding its delicate watchmaker’s
Title Researchers and scientists have constructed extensive research on dinosaur’s extinction. Speculation instead of real evidence seems common in most theories about the dinosaurs’ extinction. However, Jay Gould’s essay “Sex, Drugs, and the Extinction of Dinosaurs” is the complete opposite of speculation over evidence. Rather, Gould uses the mix of persuasive techniques, such as rhetorical questions, logos, along with profound evidence to not only disapprove of other theories but convince readers of his place on the dinosaur’s extinction.
Ray Bradbury used figurative language to describe the Tyrannosaurus Rex in “A Sound of Thunder. ’’ Ray Bradbury compared the legs to pistons, this means that the Tyrannosaurus Rex has strong legs. He compared it’s eyes to ostrich eggs, this means that the dinosaur has big eyes. He also compared muscles to thick ropes, this means that the dino has big thighs.
The theory of the asteroid being the reason for the extinction of the dinosaurs and with the help of some colleagues, it was able to confirm the extinction of the extinction
The making of film, or the concept of it, has been around since the beginning of the 18th century. The lens of the camera has captured some of the most beautiful things, but also the most prejudice. Stereotypes of races, ethnicities, and gender have always been around but were widely considered acceptable in films of that era. Almost as long as there have been people filming, there have been people fighting for equality to be presented on the big screen. Danez Smith is one of these modern fighters in his free verse poem “Dinosaurs in the Hood.”
It is nearly impossible to know how many of these flowering plants existed millions of years ago in order to feed millions of dinosaurs, hence making them extinct. Gould fails to build ethos throughout his essay in order to make his testable hypotheses realistic. He deliberately states, “It cannot be tested, for how can we know what dinosaurs tasted and what their livers could do? Livers don’t fossilize any better than testicles” (Gould 515). What could be tested, on the other hand, is the coincidence that no “non-avian dinosaur fossil” has been found at the impact layer of the asteroid, the Yucatan Peninsula (“What Killed Dinosaurs”).
Well..- there is really nothing to talk about for 5 years after the death of B-rex's father. He was rather mad and sad at the same time. B-rex joined local gang who were ruling the streets at the time, wich he met his up-coming assistant leader, Logic. Soon enough the gang faded away, there was people scared of rival gangs and the guns, due to the fact that B-Rex'es gang at this time couldn't get ahold of weapons nor drugs. So people stopped chlling at the block.
After they kill the tyrannosaurus rex, Lesperance asks the two hunters if they want a trophy picture, but Travis says, "We can't take a trophy back to the future. The body has to stay right here where it would have died originally, so the insects, birds, and bacteria can get at it, as they were intended to. Everything in balance. The body stays. But we can take a picture of you standing near it" (pg. 144).
The Tommysaurus Rex is a very interesting book. It is written in simple language is is easy to understand. The book explains the story of a young boy (Ely) who loses his dog. His father sends him to his grandpa so that the boy could have time to forget about the dog. But Ely meets a new adventure there.
Out of everything it could have been it had to be dinosaurs. I am absolutely terrified. I am so afraid of dinosaurs ever since they caused the death of my parents. My parent were heading out of an opera when they were robbed and shot by a crazy, homeless, drug addicted dinosaur. He took all their money, clothes, and even some of their hair for god knows
