I do not only want to make a change here in my community, but I would love to make a change all around the world. I am very interested to take this opportunity to to Uganda and make a change with our sister school. Seeing how fortunate we are, at Vernon Hills I wish the same opportunities for the kids in Uganda as we have here. Succeeding to me is helping make a difference in many people's lives as possible. As I’m getting older, I’m realizing how fast life goes by and I want to take every opportunity I can possibly have to make a difference in someone's life. At football games we can also raise money too. When our school was fundraising for project turf at all of the football games, I remember going around promoting it at every game. Our community came together and raised money to be able to afford turf on the football and baseball fields. Now that I am in highschool, it is only easier to get my voice across. Being a cheerleader my team and I can spread the word at football and basketball games which will not only inform the students, but will also inform the parents sitting up in the stands. I don’t only want this project to be within Vernon Hills high school, but it can also be apart of the whole Vernon Hills community. For many years my family has been apart of this community and through many programs we can teach others about our sister school in Uganda and raise money for technology. It can be throughout junior programs like cougar football, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, Lake county stallion football, cheerleading and so many more teams. It is a good idea to spread awareness to future cougars because one day they will walk in our footsteps and take on this wonderful project.
