Ukulele Autobiography

Learning something new is always exciting. The thrilling moment when you finally get good at it is worth the hard work. I attempted to learn ukulele as a new project. I had a goal of reaching ten hours of practice and kept a log to ensure I met this goal.
I chose the ukulele for a number of reasons. The first is that I am very into music. I already play piano and guitar, and love to learn another instrument. Something like flute or violin would need a lot more than ten hours to get even remotely good at it. Ukulele is a fairly easy instrument to learn, especially with my background with guitar. However, just because I play guitar does not make me a an automatic master of the uke. The ukulele is very different from guitar. I learned a song from sheet music and I recorded myself playing it. Then, I played the corresponding cords along with the recording. That was the most fun part of practice for me. I would also find songs on youtube to play along with. Playing ukulele alone is just not as much fun as with other people. Playing instruments is very fun for me and learning a new one is an adventure. Now that I have started to learn ukulele, I can continue to learn and master it. If I keep up my practice, it won’t be long until I can play really well and easily. In the future, I will be able to play it for jam sessions or if I ever find a song I like on ukulele. Overall, the ukulele was an entertaining instrument to learn. It wasn’t too hard to figure out, and it has a fun and tropical sound to it. With only ten hours of practice, I am able to play a few songs and I could easily learn a new song. I can learn chords easily, and I can use the chords I know to play new songs. I will definitely be playing more ukulele in the
