WVU (10-4) begins conference play after defeating Redford 6-2 on Tuesday night. Sophomore Shaun Corso led the offense with two hits and a career-high four RBI, including the game-winner in the third. Freshman Jimmy Galusky and senior KC Huth are leading the Mountaineers ' offense with .333 clips. Freshman Darius Hill has knocked in a team-leading 11 RBI for WVU.

For this project a metric would be used to predict who was going to win the 2017 March Madness Tournament. The metric consists of a team’s RPI and two stats that have a strong correlation coefficient to how the teams finished in the 2016 tournament. The Rating Percentage Index (RPI)is a ranking system that is used to determine a team 's rank in the tournament and during the regular season. The two stats had to have a moderate correlation to how the last 16 teams in the 2016 tournament finished. Also a scatter plot was used to display two different stats and how they correlated.

Moore took home MVP honors after scoring an All star game record 30 points, including 8 straight in the last two minutes, to help propel the West to a 117-112 victory over the East in Uncasville, Connecticut. “It was a blast, this is such a special time,” Moore told ESPN after the game. “We turned [the tempo] up, shots were going in.” Phoenix’s Brittney Griner had 21 points, including a three pointer and an electrifying dunk on back to back possessions in the 3rd quarter to help give The West momentum.

Michigan State (12-6, Big Ten 4-1) came out scorching hot in the first, connecting on their first six shot attempts. However, the Spartan’s early success was short lived, as the Buckeyes began to form a sudden comeback.

Pat Conroy discovers what it means to lose in his memoir My Losing Season. The memoir covers Conroy’s experiences as a young boy growing up in the South in the 1960s and as a basketball player for The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina. The Vietnam anti-war movements had multiple purposes and the movements changed vastly over the course of the war. Not only just this, but the attitude of Americans views on the war and the anti-war movements changed as well. As time went on many saw the war as a symbol of government overreach and had an overall critique of United States foreign policy. Based on modern stereotypes it has been considered a young person’s protest but it goes much deeper than that. The war called to question the values of patriotism and the role, breadth, and legitimacy of the United States government.
The sport I chose to observe was college football. I decided to chose this sport because football is a sport my family enjoys to watch. Also I enjoy watching football more than any other sport because there is so much that could happen, in football many unexpecting plays could happen, and each game is different than the last one. The game I chose to watch was a college football game between the University of Notre Dame and the University of Miami that took place at the University of Miami on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
