Imagine you are in a large city. You are surrounded by tall buildings, most at least over twenty stories. Car horns honk, sirens wail, and people are constantly talking. The extravagant city brings in a great deal of activity. Glancing around, you spot a man in an outrageously expensive suit, speaking with someone over his cell phone. Women walk out of department stores, multiple bags in hands, laughing and chatting with one another. Lights can be seen through the windows of the tall business structures. Taxis swerve across the roads, picking up and dropping off multiple people, transporting them to where they need to be. You are in the Big Apple. Now, imagine you are at a small ski resort in the Adirondack Mountains. Birds chirp around you, families ski down the slopes, and a warm hot cocoa is in between your hands. You enjoy this scene as much as the last. Although these places are extremely different, the two settings are both in the same place, New York. New York is the best place to visit. Whether you enjoy the urban experience New York City can bring or the secluded, rural setting that Upstate holds, this north-eastern state carries it all. Anyone travelling to New York City will tell you that shopping is a must. Even if you do not have enough money with you to spend on clothing, shoes and accessories, browsing around in the stores is always exciting. If shopping is not your forte, you could always tour one of several iconic sites resting in the city. Broadway, The Statue of Liberty, and Times Square are only three of multiple different tourist attractions. The Big Apple contains five different boroughs that hold millions of different cultural backgrounds.
