Usain Bolt is the fastest man alive. Not only has he competed in multiple Olympics, Usain has helped people around the world and changed Track and Field forever. Usain Bolt was born in Sherwood Content, Jamaica on August 21, 1986. His parents are Wellesley and Jennifer Bolt. Usain Bolt started off as a cricket player, but Bolt’s speed stood out, and his coaches suggested track instead. His first coach was Pablo McNeil, a former Olympic athlete. At the early age of 14, Usain won his first high school championship medal in 2001, and the silver in the 200 meter race. Then, at the age of fifteen he went onto a world stage at the 2002 World Junior Olympics in Kingston, Jamaica. He won the 200 meter dash, this made him the youngest to win a gold medal. That same year Bolt also received the International Association of Athletics Foundation Rising Star Award. Along with the award, he was given the nickname Lightning Bolt. In the 2008 Beijing Olympics he ran the 100 meter and 200 meter dash. In Beijing, Bolt set three world records and won three gold medals. One of the most memorable records he set in the 2008 Olympics was the 100 meter world record, which he ran in 9.69 seconds. During the 2012 London Olympics, he won two gold medals and set one Olympic record on the 100 meter race. Recently, in the Rio 2016 Olympics, Bolt won three gold medals. Usain Bolt has helped many people around the world. He has a foundation call the Usain Bolt foundation that gives kids opportunity to play sports and provides them with things such as food and water.
In conclusion, Usain Bolt has won nine gold medals and has set multiple world records. He has competed in three Olympics and has broke records in all of them. Overall, Usain Bolt is an amazing athlete and great role model to people all over the
