The North American fur trade was the economic foundation that allowed the French to live and survive in the colony they built on the St. Lawrence river. Not only did it provide a means of selling and buying goods for the people of New France, but the fur trade also stimulated their own economic development and eventually the foundation of Canada. Key to understanding how the fur trade is fundamental to Canadian history, one must look at the nature of competition the Fur trade existed in. The fur trade was a system of trading goods amongst the French, the British and the Indigenous peoples of the Americas. The Europeans and the Indigenous people all mutually prospered but the competition that prevailed between these people and within their communities was extremely significant to how the fur trade shaped Canadian history.

I'm super proud of him and all his success, like to huge extreme. As I wrote this paper I began to realize, it's not just about winning trophies and medals to Gary, it's something way more. With all his success he could have chose to become big headed and cocky person, but he chose to choose the path of being thankful and blessed beyond all things. His love for the game is an all time high, but yet he still puts family, friends and school first. To me, it's crazy to think one of my role models, Gary Trent Jr. is the same age as me, but as I look at the big picture, he's already more successful than some adults, and he can only get more successful.

Women have shaped Canadian History The proliferation of Canadian women’s movements, notably their redefining role in society, has had a profound propitious impact on Canada’s identity in the twentieth century. The contribution of Canadian women in the cultural life (sports, the arts and dance), the political impact from the leadership role of a female perspective (Nellie McClung) and women’s economic empowerment all contribute to the shape of Canadian history. Canadian culture had become invisible and nearly indistinguishable from the neighboring United States.
Alienating and Suppressing the Wild Thomas King’s A Short History of Indians in Canada introduces the effects of colonialism and bias established on indigenous peoples’ reputation through satire. King’s play on major metaphors and animal depiction of indigenous people paints an image of an abhorrent and gruesome history. Through moments of humour, King makes references to racial profiling, stereotypes and mistreatment as historically true. Thomas King utilizes industrialization versus the natural world to incorporate the effects of colonialism and how representing indigenous people as birds made them the spectacle of the civilized world.
