Task 6 Evaluate the influence different stakeholders exert in one organisation. In this task, I’ll be evaluating how the different stakeholders will influence Sainsbury’s. Within Sainsbury’s it has many stakeholder which includes customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers, competitors, governments, trade union and local and national communities. Also, from the list I’ve made above this lead me to ranking each stakeholders from 1 to 8 and their importance to the business.

In “The Diary of Anne Frank” she responded to conflict by, staying in hiding while being positive and believing that everything will be okay. In “Blood, Toil, Tears, and Sweat”, Winston Churchill responded to conflict by keeping his country and himself confident and fighting for what he believed in.

The Stakeholder Salience Theory, created by Mitchell, Agle and Wood, are based upon the combination of the three relationship attributes to generate general types of stakeholders. These attributes include: Power; Legitimacy; Urgency. “Stakeholder salience” is defined as the degree to which managers give priority to competing stakeholder claims. Therefore if a stakeholder consist of all three attributes, he/she/it will be of most importance and will have more rights and privileges than a stakeholder that consists of only one of the three attributes. I am interested in the BDP’s Conflict Resolution & Peace Studies topic, specifically on the course strands of Societal Conflict Resolution and Interpersonal Conflict Resolution. During the summer, I interned at the Coryell County Attorney’s office, and while I aided in sorting through paperwork and filing, I was given the privilege to follow my supervisors to their court affairs. I was guided and taught various things about court proceedings, the attorney discipline, and viewed a number of Child Protective Service and Justice Court cases. On those particular days, I had a close up observation of the justice system, and its effects on the individuals within.
