The Rhetorical Analysis Paper was a challenging paper to write for me, but I believe that it was only difficult because this is my first paper that I have ever written of this style. Despite this I think that I did a good job on this paper; I tried to follow the rubric as I wrote. I believe that I clearly articulated the two aspects of the advertisement that I focused on and how they worked together to convey the bigger picture; however, I did still have some concerns. My biggest concern initially was how to develop a good thesis for this genre of writing since I have never written on this topic before, but I believe I got that issue straightened out. Other issues were deciding how to introduce and conclude papers in this genre, but again by
According to the CDC, the more serious side effects are rare and there are very few records of them happening. There are others who think they or their children do not need to be vaccinated because of the natural immunity that occurs in one’s body. Some think that because their body is able to fight off a disease, they do not need to get vaccinated. A disease
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimated that 732,000 American children were saved from death and 322 million cases of childhood illnesses were prevented between 1994 and 2014 due to vaccination.” With these given statistics, Parents should be more than willing to vaccinate with all the lives saved in the years past. One main factor that makes the vaccines safe is the ingredients used. While used in large quantities, thimerosal, formaldehyde, and aluminum can be dangerous but scientist have lowered the dosage to a healthy form. Along with using safe ingredients, each vaccine has to be tested up to 10 years or more before they are licensed.
Dear Editor, Today I am going to bring something very important to your attention. I am going to be discussing getting vaccinated and why it is so important. I feel that getting vaccinated is vital because vaccinations lower your risk of death, they are a safe way to prevent illness, and you are protecting those around you by getting them. Vaccines definitely lower your risk of death.
Immunizations can save a child’s life; due to the medical advances that have taken place, kids are now protected from many illness/ diseases. At one point in time, Polio was a horrible illness that is now preventable by simply receiving a shot (USDHHS, n.d.). Immunizations protect not only the individual receiving the vaccination, but others as well. Certain individuals are not suitable for specific vaccinations, therefore, if everyone else has the vaccination, the people who cannot are more likely to be safe from the illness (USDHHS, n.d). Generally, immunizations are safe, effective, cheaper in the long run, and can save families time.
This is the aim of this report. Through analytical research presented in this report I have come to the conclusion that vaccines are not only crucial and beneficial but that everyone who is eligible should be vaccinated, as that
Vaccinations have been promoted since 1781, vaccinations are injected for Americans to maintain a healthy life and not become ill due to disease caused from measles, mumps, polio and several other diseases. However, there are those that do not agree with getting their children vaccinated due to religious beliefs and there are some people believe vaccinations can cause birth defects. Although, those are their beliefs; however there are those that enter our nation without being vaccinated and it is ultimately putting our children at risk for contracting various diseases, for example the Disneyland measles outbreak of 2014.
There are numerous evidences present in the literature to support the usefulness of vaccination for the treatment of viral infections such as Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Small Pox (Public Health Agency of Canada, 2013). A person is given a shot once for these diseases and seldom need another shot. Health agencies are now able to make statement such as the eradication of Small Pox, Polio and Measles (College of Phycisian of Philadelphia, 2015). The efforts toward polio and measles eradication in the Americas have been possible only mainly because there was a very high level of political commitment and collaboration among governments of the region (Knobler, Lederberg, & Pray, 2002).
A huge question that has been asked for a while is, is abortion ok? There is two sides to this argument. The two sides are pro-life and pro-choice. Pro-life is the side against abortion. Pro- choice is the side for abortion.
The truth is that the majority of children will indeed survive childhood and their vaccinations without any problems whatsoever, but since another one of our founding principles
Many people may think that vaccination is a bad thing, that instead of preventing it causes illness, that is not natural. Natural or not, there are many reasons as to why we should vaccinate us and the younger generation. Most of the time children don’t like vaccination because it hurt, but is the responsibility of a parent to seek the wellbeing of his or her child. Vaccination it’s a preventive measure of various diseases. Unfortunately, things like the anti-vaccination movement, the misinformation on the Internet, and the believe that vaccination causes more damage than is worth, have led our society to think that it’s right not to vaccinate.
Vaccinations When it comes to vaccinations, there are many different opinions on immunizing a child, especially when that child’s parent has a strong like or dislike towards vaccinating. Immunizations have existed for at least a thousand years and as technology advances more, there are new vaccines being designed to help protect our children from contracting contagious and sometimes deadly diseases, such as Bordetella pertussis, polio, and even influenza. For decades, all 50 states have required that parents vaccinate their children against various diseases, including polio and measles, as a prerequisite to enrolling them in public schools (Ciolli, 2008). Enrollment in public school requires up to date vaccinations in order to protect the children and even the adults from contracting and spreading a disease, possibly causing an epidemic.
Unfortunately, the anti-vaccination movement is becoming increasingly popular due to individuals’ unfounded fears and imagined consequences associated with the idea of purposely inserting a disease into one’s body. However, despite one’s beliefs, vaccines are essential not only to a person’s well-being, but to the health of those around them. Mandatory vaccinations do not cause autism; rather, they save lives while upholding values of
While many people think that it’s not harmful to their children if they’re not vaccinated, they’re mistaken. There are many risks of not being vaccinated, which include disabilities and even a higher risk of catching a disease that could’ve been prevented in the first place. Not being vaccinated can sometimes lead to disability problems such as if there was an “Outbreaks of measles, mumps, and whooping cough are occurring around the United States—often among groups of children whose parents have refused to get them vaccinated”(Childhood 1). The side effects of these lead a child to catching pneumonia, inflammation in the brain, swollen and tender salivary glands under the ears and more. Based on the information that was researched vaccines, “Work really well.
Vaccinations can help prevent future diseases or viruses in the upcoming life of a child. According to an article from vaccines.gov, “Because of advances in medical science, your child can be protected against more diseases than ever before. Some diseases that once injured or killed thousands of children, have been eliminated completely and others are close to extinction- primarily due to stay safe and effective vaccinations.” Throughout the years more viruses have been prevented due to vaccinations in children. There has also been an increase in the amount of children that get vaccinations at a young age.
