On the other hand, the Pro–life perspective supports the protection of the unborn fetus, and it considers abortion as unethical. A big argument today is should abortion be legal, the two main groups are Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. People who are Pro-Choice believe that women should be able to have the choice to abort their baby or keep it. Whereas people who are Pro-Life believe that abortion should be banned because they think that women should have the baby no matter the situation. I am Pro-Choice, I believe that women should be able to make their own decisions about whether to keep a baby or not. Different people have different circumstances in their life that make them might not want a baby.
Pro-life and Pro-choice is a debate that many have questions to but in fact may not have real answers. When it comes down to it can be debated as social issue or a moral issue. They also say it’s not right for women to have that choice of having an abortion.
Today, abortion is a controversial topic between the two very different groups. The two groups of people are, pro-choice and pro-life. Abortion There are very few subjects that provoke as much disagreement as the topic of abortion. Abortion is one of the most controversial topics of society. The main concern of the argument is whether a woman has the right to terminate the life of a fetus or the embryo’s right to live. There have been numerous deaths and violet conflicts between the two parties—pro life and pro choice. Pro life believes abortion is a sin or immoral, while pro choice believes it is the woman’s right to her own body.
“No woman wants an abortion as she wants an ice cream cone or a Porsche. She wants an abortion as an animal caught in a trap wants to gnaw off its own leg” (Mathewes-Green). Abortion has caused problems throughout the world for centuries. “We're always going to argue about abortion. It's a hard choice
To be pro-life or pro-choice are belief systems that can pertain to euthanasia or assisted suicide, the death penalty, war and abortions. “The pro-life and pro-choice movements primarily come into conflict on the issue of abortion. The pro-life movement argues that even non-viable, undeveloped human life is sacred and must be protected by the government. Abortion, according to this model, must not be legal, nor should it be widely practiced on an illegal basis. The pro-choice movement argues that in cases where human personhood cannot be proven, e.g. in pregnancies prior to the point of viability, the government does not have the right to impede a woman's right to decide whether or not to continue a pregnancy” (civilliberty.about.com).
Abortion has been a highly controversial topic, within the United States due to the two viewpoints of pro-life and pro-choice. The pro-life people believe that the fetus is a fully living being with the right to be alive while the pro-choice side talks about how women have the right to choose abortion and how important abortion can be for stem cell research. Abortion should be easily accessible in all states of the United States. Abortion is something that all women should have the right to, they should have the right to choice since it is their own body and they should be able to make decisions as to what happens to their body. Abortion can help lower the number of unwanted and uncared for children in the United States which is from lowered numbers of children that are put up for adoption.
Abortion one of the biggest controversial topics in America but also one of the least talked about topics, do to the controversy that follows it. Both sides, Pro-life and Pro-choice, provide strong points and strong beliefs; but many Christians do not see that Pro-life is the side they should and for. Also to many it is so hard to choose which side is in the right and which is in the wrong. After bringing religion, core beliefs, opinion, and emotions into the argument many wonder if they truly know what abortion is and consist of.
It is important to consider factual abortion statistics for the pro abortion and pro life arguments. Abortion fact: there are a startling 42 million abortions worldwide every year. Over a lifetime, that totals about 1 abortion for every woman on the planet, and in fact, nearly 1 in 2 women worldwide will have an abortion in their lifetime. I dont care if youre pro-life or pro-choice, these numbers are sobering. And lets get real for a minute.
As the fetus starts transforming, weekly once it reaches its eight weeks it has a nervous system. A nervous system for the fetus, is that it is able to feel any pain. By the time that you man an appointment, to get an abortion the fetus is completely alive and healthy. If you didn’t know, when this procedure is being done the doctor kills the fetus by the brain. Many of the babies that this procedure is done to, is viable to a natural and healthy birth.
Pro-Choice vs. Pro-Life Abortion. The word alone has the power to make a room go still. The popular debate topic has a reputation of provoking aggression no matter where it is mentioned due to its strong relation to people’s rights and ethics, but does it really need further deliberation? Abortions should be kept legal across the United States for a multitude of reasons: they allow people to stay in school and work, largely lessen likelihood of would-be-parents falling into economic depressions, prevent overload of responsibilities to the unprepared, protect women’s rights to privacy, help reduce the number of parentless children, conserve resources, give options, decrease maternal injuries, lower crime rates, and maintain the amount of federal spending on welfare.

For there are two most popular opinions perhaps even more but I am focusing on the two opinions of either Pro Abortion or Pro Choice. I am pro choice myself yet the most popular choice is that it should be illegal, I have came to this conclusion from a CNN poll. Pro choice rings it at 39% while Pro Abortion rings in with a 58%. As to why I am Pro Choice, here’s why.
Abortion is a very sensitive issue. Many people are constantly debating whether or not abortion should be allowed or not. Some people think abortion is very bad and that it should not be allowed at all. They think abortion is like committing murder as it is killing the human fetus. Others feel that the parents should have the right to choose and it is not murder until the baby is born.
The conflict over abortion in America has been a major social problem in our nation for decades. During the 1960 's and 70 's with the coinciding civil rights movement and women’s rights movement, abortion became the new national issue that we still see today between two opposing ideologies, grouped into sides coined as pro-life and pro-choice. It is one of the biggest debates over whose morals and beliefs are adequate for our society that make the abortion issue such a controversial and divisive one. Each side believes that their views and beliefs are what we are a society should follow and belief.
