Abortion
There are very few subjects that provoke as much disagreement as the topic of abortion. Abortion is one of the most controversial topics of society. The main concern of the argument is whether a woman has the right to terminate the life of a fetus or the embryo’s right to live. There have been numerous deaths and violet conflicts between the two parties—pro life and pro choice. Pro life believes abortion is a sin or immoral, while pro choice believes it is the woman’s right to her own body. The Health and Wellness Resource Center states that an abortion is the internal termination of a pregnancy. There are three types of abortion—Spontaneous, Therapeutic, and Induced. Spontaneous abortions or miscarriages are the condition in which the woman’s body naturally rejects the fetus. This type of abortion can be caused by many different factors—for example the lack of chromosomes in a fetus.

The baby should not have to be punished for the mistake of two individuals, however, what about in the situation of rape? Rape is an act of aggression or violence, but isn’t aborting the unborn child an act of violence?
