An abortion is a the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. There are cases where abortion happens naturally, this process is called a spontaneous miscarriage. In most cases abortions are done by removing the embryo from the uterus during a pregnancy.
