An abortion is a the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. There are cases where abortion happens naturally, this process is called a spontaneous miscarriage. In most cases abortions are done by removing the embryo from the uterus during a pregnancy. Abortion is a very controversial topic in america, weather one know what abortion is in detail or not he or she takes one of the two sides of the abortion battle. The two sides being pro-life or pro-choice. If one is pro-life they believe that the government has an obligation to preserve all human life no matter what. If one is pro-choice they believe that a women should do as she pleases with her body. If she wants to get rid of an fetus that has yet to develop, then by all means she can. These people focus on the baby, saying its inhuman to kill of a child, no matter what stage of birth it is in. “The right to choose abortion was a "form of enslavement" that represented a "negation," rather than a fulfillment of the right to control one's own body,” (Ziegler 239).
