Summer Heights High is a mockumentary show, directed by Chris Lilly. It was filmed in a Brighton Secondary College in Australia, aired on Australia’s ABC TV in September 2007. It’s played by three main characters over the course of a term: Jonah, Jamie and Mr. G. These characters are stereotyped to create funny content of themselves to encourage people not to behave that way. It labels the inappropriate content of words, used by a number of swearing and bullying that was nevertheless to make fun their behavior.
The way in which Australian comedy is regarded, understood, or interpreted can dramatically affect the overall consensus of what it may imply. Australian comedy walks the line of this, you either love it, or you hate it. This is evident in the public’s overall positive responses to Chris Lilley’s mini mockumentary series, “Summer Heights High” & “Jonah from Tonga” which portrays Australian comedy as to have the ability to find humour in each other’s flaws, often more shocking and confronting than initially expected. Resulting in a fan base that can relate themselves to characters such as “Jonah Takaluwa” and possibly find comfort and closure, Chris Lilly stated in an interview with The Daily Telegraph “I’ve never had any negative feedback”,” I have all the time come up and claim that they’re Jonah”, “It’s all in context and it’s designed to be shocking and confronting/”
Paul Hill decided to kill abortionist Dr. John Britton and his escort as they left their clinic, in order to stop them from killing more unborn babies. At least that’s his reasoning for his violent acts. But these acts are more than random violence, they are acts of religious terrorism. Religious terrorism is a “public act of destruction without a political objective designed to create fear, for which religion acts as the motivation, organization, and justification.” Based on the definition of religious terrorism, Paul Hill is a terrorist.
Focusing on customers who are ignorant is a practice that raises imperative moral concerns. Every year illegal immigrants come into our country and with them they bring their children. Roughly a million children are brought here yearly as their parents seek better lives for their families. That’s where the United States struggles to enforce laws and kick them out because they’re young and most likely had no say in whether or not to enter our country. I sympathize for the kids no doubt, but the fact that they have entered the country illegally is unacceptable; for according to the rule of law, no person is above the law nor below it. According to the law, it is ILLEGAL to enter the United States without going through the process of naturalization.
Illegal immigrants evidently have had the ability to leach off of the American government, due to Obamacare. Illegal immigration is without a doubt one of the most attention needing problems the United States faces. The adversity devised from the jobs that illegal immigrants have apprehended from US citizens is formidable. President Trump has promised that he will reform the immigration laws and following his presidential campaign promise, building a large wall that separates Mexico and The United States. Building the wall reassures the population that we are indeed safe, we are a powerful country and there is no free ride in the land of hope and possibility.
Education is the key to a brand new car. But the government crashed that car. They have no right to take away our education. The president brought us common core. This is a lot harder than regular math.
With the current election raging, illegal immigration has been the hot topic amongst both liberals and conservatives. Many conservatives believe that illegals steal jobs, abuse tax benefits, and, most importantly, threaten their way of life. Liberals, on the other hand, support immigration reform based purely on sympathy. They understand that many Latin Americans go through extreme measures to escape hopeless situations back home. While there’s nothing wrong with sympathy for our fellow humans, it may serve to be beneficial to look at immigration reform through the lens of reason.

In a time when social media is on the rise, Purtle addresses the lacking of real connections and endangerments surrounding magnified typical teenage issues caused by those programs within the lives of young Americans. As a teenager, or young adult, there is an immense amount of exposure to assimilation from one self-conscious teen to the next unsure teen. Through using satirical strategies such as an ironic tone, ridiculous and contradicting rhetoric, ironic questions and analogies to common phrases, Purtle
