In conclusion, we should always remember those who fought and are still fighting for us not just one time a year but everyday. Veterans are people who fought for our country. If we didn't have heroes our country would have been taken over. Veterans are heroes because they are confident under pressure, fight for our freedom, and they are sacrificial. First, they are sacrificial because they go into war and fight for our rights. I have a few people in my family that are veterans. Their service means alot to me. I admire them for their for their bravery and loyalty to their country. I strongly agree with this claim, regardless of what had happened 50 years ago between these countries; it is best to forgive and move on because each and every country knew what they were signing up for and the consequences that they would have to face. What make me regret is that I did not go to the Veterans Day Ceremony because I had class at 11am on Tuesday. I know that the United State annually celebrate the Veterans Day every November to honor and praise veterans of all service branches for the sacrifices each have made for their country. The US has grappled with many questions about society’s obligations as to whether or not to offer services and benefits to the men and women in the armed forces. Supporters argue that helping veterans will help the society as whole and opponents argue that we shouldn’t be increasing our federal government spending in repaying veterans. Although I do see where people can argue that we are spending too much money on helping veterans after war, I believe that the government owes them for what they have done for the country, despite the cost. The government owes certain benefits to veterans because the men and women in the armed forces deserve to be welcomed home with a generous system of services for what they have done for the country.
