The focus of this article is that women are just as complicit as men in their usage of gendered slurs and sexual oppression against other women. Armstrong et al. argues that female college students use “slut shaming” as a form of protecting their class privileges by creating a hierarchy of women on the basis of sexual conduct. This relates to my topic of how lower class women’s sexual behaviour is highly regulated in the “Walk of No Shame with Amber Rose,” as Amber Rose was compelled to become an erotic dancer at the age of fifteen in order to evade poverty, yet her past employment as a sex workers is used to derail her arguments against sexism.
