Have you ever wanted to just run away from your problems with no trace, well Chris Mcandless was that person from having a toxic childhood where there was abuse to not having a good relationship between parents. He felt safe and more at home in the outside world than his actual home, he so loved the adventure this is why Chris Mcandless was justified in leaving his family without a trace. On page 6 of Into the Wild Chris says “nobody knew of his plans that in fact he hasn't spoken to his family in nearly 2 years” part of this was because he did not want to talk to his parents over everything that has happened throughout his life with them. Throughout the story his family situation has a hard topic to talk about. The information that I stated shows how his relationship with his family was rocky to say the least.
