Patrick Henry was born on May 29th, 1736 in Studley, Virginia. He grew up and was raised on Studley plantation which belonged to his mother’s family. Patrick was the second of nine children in his family. He didn’t go to school, because his father who had attended a university in Scotland taught him. After failing in business, Patrick married a girl named Sarah Shelton.
Patrick Henry — lawyer, statesman, and Federalists Revolutionary Leader — was born on May 29, 1736 at Studley in Hanover County, Virginia. His father, John Henry, emigrated from Scotland to Virginia in the 1720’s. While in Scotland he attended King’s College thus he was well educated. His mother, Sarah Winston Syme was a wealthy widow from a prominent Virginia gentry family.

After his mother, Dorothy, divorced King’s father, she took her son and moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Later, Dorothy married a very successful paint salesman named Gerald R. Ford, who adopted her son which changed his name. Now known as Gerald R. Ford, he was a great athlete in high school which earned him an athletic scholarship to play football for the University of Michigan.
Not only did the government turn to him during economic rough patches, but Carnegie, Rockefeller, and even Vanderbilt had to use money that he controlled in order to create their businesses. He controlled every single dollar and penny on a national scale. He eventually bought out Carnegie Steel, combined it with 7 more businesses, and created the world’s first billion dollar enterprise. He is also known for introducing the assembly line to modern industry, which were and still are very significant because they enhance production by being able to split up- tasks between workers in order to keep production going and keep the needs for workers simply to basic skills. His cars were ones that many middle-class Americans could afford, so they sold very well and he made a lot of money. He introduced the famous Model T car to American society, and they became a legendary part of popular culture. He had an idea of mixing mass production of products with high wages to workers. This worked well for his company.
Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863 on his parents farm. His parents were Mary and William Ford. At the age of sixteen Ford was tired of farm work and became an apprentice for a machinist. Later Henry would work on more machines and steam engines.
When he was thirteen his dad gave him a pocket watch and he would often take it apart over and over again, this would always impress his friends so he decided he wanted to be a engineer. He attempted to make a horseless carriage, he presented it to Thomas Edison and he encouraged him to do it. This car was called the model T. It was such a big hit because it was affordable for most americans. Henry was so famous because he invented the assembly line and he made bombers for the US in world war 2. In his later years, he dedicated his life to philanthropic endeavors. Born on November 25, 1835 in Dunfermline, Scotland, Andrew Carnegie was born into a poor family. Coming from a poor family he received little formal education. His family believed in the power of books and learning. At the age of thirteen he moved to the US with his family.
He began the Ford Motor Company and used the assembly line. The assembly line allowed for fast and easier work. But most of all he created an affordable car for all. His goal was to create an affordable car that the average working man could afford, because all the car that were already produced were not affordable and were very expensive. This allowed for everyone to own a car rather than just the rich.

Henry Ford greatly contributed to the American people. He should be classified and remembered as a Captain of Industry because of his industrial contributions such as the revolutionization of how people used transportation and by helping increase the economy through his 1908 Model T automobile. Henry Ford set great examples for other businessmen with his creation of the assembly line,making the production of industrialized goods faster and easier. Henry Ford used tactics to build his empire such as making the Model T affordable for everyone,good wages for his labor, and buying out other shareholders. With his great generosity and acts of philanthropy,he paid his employers more than average and also supported the people(affordable prices).
Henry Ford was an entrepreneur who founded the Ford Motor Company in June of 1903 and grew it into a very successful business. He achieved this through free enterprise, an economic system which places few restrictions on business activities and ownership. This system allowed Ford to begin his company without restrictions from the government either preventing him from establishing it or from limiting his success. It not only helped Ford to achieve his goals in business, but it has also helped many other entrepreneurs as well. The free enterprise system has been a necessary component in allowing people, such as Henry Ford, to start, grow, and own their own businesses.
