An important theme explored in the novel ‘The Outsiders'' is wealth disparity and inequality. Throughout the novel, the author (S.E Hinton) attempts to convey the message that ‘Life isn’t fair’ by creating conflicts and violent actions that ultimately lead the ‘Gangs’ to understand each other. The forming of ‘The Greasers’ mainly occurred due to the violent bullying of one of the members known as ‘Johnny Cade’.
