As a person with other people’s interests at heart, their happiness remains my top priority. Therefore, studying a course that elevates people’s welfare and happiness has always been my interest; a factor that motivated me to pursue the Wellness and Alternative Medicine program. Ever since I was little all I have ever wanted to do, was is something in the medical field. Modern medicine is a great but today, a patient is just a set of symptoms. Modern medicine lacks the holistic treatment of the body, mind, and spirit of a person that I love about Alternative medicine. My favorite quote from my Anatomy & Physiology professor is when he said “A healer 's power stems not from any special ability, but from maintaining the courage and awareness to embody and express the universal healing power that every …show more content…
Therefore, I set goals and objectives that guide my activities. By the time I complete the Wellness and Alternative Medicine program, I want to acquire adequate knowledge and proficiency to deal with chronic and acute conditions comprehensively. I realized that most of the people with chronic conditions succumb to their diseases because of misdiagnosis and delayed treatment. As such I look forward to helping such patients get optimal solutions to their problems. Establishing broad personal and professional networks is another objective that I should achieve by the end of this program. The Wellness and Alternative Medicine program attracts students a diverse population of student, through interacting with other student I will learn different cultural aspects that will influence how I deal with future patients. Additionally, such intermingling creates an opportunity to develop personal ties and career ties that will facilitate growth and transitioning from school to professional life. Based on the academic progress, I want to achieve excellent grades that will enable me to pursue graduate school after completing this
