The Outsiders Essay Randy changed his attitude the most he changed it about fighting,socs,and Ponyboy. At first Randy was getting into tons of fights with Bob just for fun. After Bob 's death he didn 't like fighting. Randy was looking forward to the rumble before Bob died and then after he didn 't even go because he was sad and didn 't care about it any more.
Those people are wrong. First of all, “a recent study in the academic journal Social Forces has revealed that only 6 percent of adults ended up in the careers they dreamt about as kids” (Haltiwanger). Dreams just aren’t a realistic thing to be caught. On the extremely rare occasion that somebody does catch their dream, they hold on to it for dear life. Holding on to a dream is “like holding a fistful of sand: the tighter [someone holds their fingers] The emptier [their hand becomes]” (Woodard).
The aim/purpose of this paper is to analyse Chris McCandless`s development of his idealistic lifestyle. Chris McCandless is the protagonist of the film “Into the Wild”. He tries to find his real personality and his ultimate freedom. Therefore he leaves his family, all his material goods and, his social personality behind, to live a life alone. In his journey he experiences a variety of difficult situations, which most of them he overcomes successfully.
Roger and I share the same definition of the American dream where everyone has an equal opportunity to achieve one 's goals. Roger’s goal was to help his family move to a safer city and he was able to achieve that goal. If Roger did not come to America he might have not been able to achieve that goal. Becoming a citizen of the United State has had a huge impact on Roger life. When Roger first came to America, it was like starting a new life, he had nothing.
Walt Disney once said, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” This means that in order to make a change in your life, you have to work hard and have enough determination and strength to achieve it, both mentally and physically. This quote can resonate with many people, as it applies to anything that you want to accomplish. It can apply to goals in school, at home, and anything in between. This also exists for important figures in history.
Everything we experience in life is just setting us up for something greater. We might not see it like in that specific point in time but every day we are being tested and with obstacles in our way for they are just molding us into the people we are destined to be. A child’s mind is so pure and just the tiniest drop of reality can shake their whole world around and make them question everything that they’ve come to know. Now instead of a drop, imagine a waterfall.
Chase dreams even if doing so is technically illegal. Throughout history, we have celebrated those who disobey unjust laws in the name of justice. Take Martin Luther King for example. “A law is unjust if it is inflicted on a minority that, as a result of being denied the right of vote, had no part in enacting or devising the law. ”(King, p469)
How are all of these ideas connected? What is the specific argument about the dream? Nick Carraway’s motives for what he acts upon reflect his wanting to live the ‘American Dream’. First, Nick has choices and rules that he makes for himself.
To dream is to desire an achievement which seems unobtainable. Most everyone has trouble convincing themselves that their dreams are within reach. Throughout the course of one’s life, there is a constant search for some form of happiness. We may not always realize we are on the quest for it, but it’s part of human nature. In “Silver Linings Playbook” we see this happen throughout with Pat and Tiffany, who are both searching for happiness. The film is relatable to us all in that many times we go looking for happiness only to come up empty-handed.
Each person has been taught to hope, to have a dream. I always shot for the stars; I wanted to be a princess, obviously that didn’t work out though. As every individual ages his or her aspirations become more realistic; I aspire to have a stable job and a loving family. Having dreams is an important part of everyone’s lives.

Everyone has a dream. Although these dreams aren’t the ones you have while sleeping, they are the ones that drive you, challenge you and keep you fighting for the reality that they will become true. They are the dreams that you will work hard for. Martin Luther King Jr. even died while fighting for his dream to become a reality. They are the ones you hope will one day become a reality.
