One debater mentions that the landlords and the elite should not take an extreme advantage of their positions. Those at the top of the social ladder should be fair to both their equals and their subordinates. He also mentions that one of the main bonds between the Chinese commoners and the ruler is that there must exist some sort of trust.

Although three of these only contain minor differences from other social classes, the upper class benefits greatly from them. These differences can be anywhere from how extravagant a wedding and its reception are, to having a special ceremony for transitioning into adulthood, or owning a membership to a prestigious country club, simply by having a high income and being a part of the upper class. They may be minor at first glance, but these can shape relationships with political figures and high-ranking business professionals. Some people have to work to get their money but others are born with money which means that they didn’t have to work for their money. Gatsby for example was not born with money. He had to make his own money by selling and dealing drugs and is now a very wealthy man.

Aristocracy is a privileged, primarily hereditary ruling class, or a form of government controlled by such an elite. I do not believe all members of society are comfortable with the system of stratification, but we understand the roles that one plays.

This shows the power that the Oracle had, which comes from the belief of the people that the Oracle could tell the future or connect them to the deceased. The elders (only men) were the oldest and most experienced people in the village, therefore making them the most respected. Next came men who were ordered depending on how many titles they had, how wealthy they were, and how strong they were.
